Cyberpunk 2077 Shows Off Nearly 7 Minutes of PlayStation Footage

Cyberpunk 2077 finally gets some PlayStation footage. Check out almost seven minutes of PS4 Pro and PS5 (via backward compatibility) gameplay.

The Cyberpunk 2077 release date is very quickly approaching. It won’t be long before players around the globe are booting up their various systems to hop into Night City. For the most part, pre-release footage has shown off what the game looks like on PC. However, today, CD Projekt Red dropped a video giving us a great look at the game running on both the PS4 Pro and the PS5 via backward compatibility. It’s worth remembering that this isn’t the next-gen patch for PS5. That will come at some point in 2021. With that said, give the gameplay a look below.

What’s clear from the footage is that, regardless of where you play, Cyberpunk 2077 is going to look great. Sure, the PS4 can’t match the fancy features the game will get on PC and next-gen; however, it still looks like a top-notch title. Of course, it’s impossible to gauge performance from this trailer. Will combat drop the frames like its Agent York riding a skateboard? Will my PS4 achieve liftoff with the fan in overdrive? We won’t know for a few more weeks.

That said, when the footage switches from PS4 to PS5, you immediately notice the bump. You can instantly see streaks of rain running down your windows that weren’t there on PS4.
