Puyo Puyo Global Ranking Series 2025 Coming Soon!

SEGA is thrilled to announce the Puyo Puyo Global Ranking Series 2025. This tournament will decide the first-ever world champion for the acclaimed Japanese tile-matching series, with a player base of over 39 million worldwide.*

Players compete by earning Global Points based on their performance at select tournaments. The competitors with the most points by February 2026 will be invited to the Puyo Puyo Grand Prix Final, where players will battle it out until one player takes home the title of the Puyo Puyo World Champion.

Registration is now open for Ascension Official Tournament 1: Gummy Gauntlet, the first official event of Puyo Puyo Global Ranking Series 2025. If you'd like a shot at the world championship, sign up for Gummy Gauntlet through the official registration page!

About Puyo Puyo

Puyo Puyo is a classic, beloved Japanese puzzle game series, which has offered 30 years of tile matching action. The first game in the series, Puyo Puyo, was sold exclusively in Japan in 1991, then introduced overseas as an arcade title in 1992. By becoming the first tile-matching game to offer player vs. player features, Puyo Puyo became a breakout success. Its straightforward gameplay and adorable characters are also a huge part of its appeal!
