Hogwarts Legacy: New Trailer Shows Off Slytherin, Dark Magic, and Zombies

Hogwarts Legacy has shown off new gameplay, which includes students investigating the roots of Salazar Slytherin, encountering dark magic, and fighting off zombies.

Shown off at Gamescom's Opening Night Live event, the gameplay trailer shows two students exploring Slytherin's catacombs and then, slightly terrifyingly, being given the choice of which one to have Crucio (a torture curse) cast on them.

We then see fiery combat against zombies, a bone-strewn staircase, a troll and, because it's Hogwarts, an adult who seems very upset with the students for snooping around.

The game also showed off a Deluxe Edition bonus, the Dark Arts pack, which you can see below:

After many, many leaks, Hogwarts Legacy was announced in 2020, but was later delayed. Its release is now set for February 10, 2023. Set long before the events of the Harry Potter films, players will spend time in classes, exploring Hogwarts, and fighting a nasty goblin called Ranrok.
