Singapore Pre-orders Of The Sega Genesis Mini Comes With A Mini Replica Cartridge & $10 Cashback

As the SEGA Genesis Mini prepares to make its comeback in Southeast Asia on September 19, 2019, retro enthusiasts in Singapore can look forward to a celebratory pre-order deal starting from August 15, 2019.

A special treat exclusive only to local shores, it entitles buyers to a FREE SEGA Genesis Mini Replica Cartridge with each processed pre-order. Those who do so using Singtel Dash payment are in for a greater bonus, with S$10 off the retail price of S$119.90.

As there are two versions of the mini console available in Asia, the Sega Genesis Mini (with the classic 3-button control pads) for SG, MY, ID, PH & TH, and the Sega Mega Drive Mini (with the 6-button control pads) for HK, TW & KR, the accompanying replica cartridge will be the respective variants as shown below.

The list of participating retailers is as follows:

  • Lazada Official Sega Store

  • Qisahn

  • PLAYe

  • Toy or Game

  • Gamewerks

  • Game Resort

  • ePlay

Good things often come in limited supply, however. The pre-order special will run for one whole month till September 15, 2019, but the accompanying replica cartridge offer is subjected to a first-come-first-served basis. Simply put, it’s fastest fingers first.

For an added touch of flair, the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Mini can be further hooked up to its very own Mini Tower add-ons in a smaller-scale replication of the infamous “Sega Tower of Power”. The cosmetic-only feature will lack 32-bit support, but it certainly makes for a welcome, nostalgic blast from the past.
